Presets are optional configuration aids for specific Trade Copier workflows. They do not replace the setup documentation.

cTrader New Mixed-Journal Clean Preset

  • Platform: cTrader Desktop
  • Trade Copier version: 1.0
  • Purpose: Fresh mixed-platform relationship with cTrader as Sender
  • Filename: AxivorBridge_cTrader_New_Mixed_Journal_Clean.cbotset

This preset is an optional setup aid for creating a new mixed-platform Trade Copier relationship where cTrader is the Sender. It starts from a clean configuration so a stale mixed-platform journal selection or retained settings from a previous cBot instance do not interfere with the new setup.

What the preset does

For Axivor Trade Copier Version 1.0, the qualified preset loads these Basic defaults:

  • Role: Sender
  • Copy Group: copygroup1
  • Copying: Enabled
  • Copy New Trades: Enabled
  • Copy Closures: Enabled
  • Copy Stop Loss and Take Profit: Enabled
  • Volume Mode: SameAsSender
  • Maximum Volume: 0
  • Create Mixed-Platform Journal: Yes
  • Supported Third-Party Journal selection: Cleared by the preset where the cTrader preset mechanism supports it

Use this preset when

  • cTrader is the Sender.
  • You are creating a new mixed-platform relationship.
  • You want to start from clean mixed-journal settings.
  • A previous cBot instance may have retained an old external file selection.
  • You are following the fresh mixed-platform Sender setup procedure.

Do not use this preset for

  • Normal cTrader-to-cTrader setup.
  • An ordinary restart.
  • An existing working mixed-platform relationship.
  • cTrader Receiver setup.
  • Changing random settings during recovery.
  • An active relationship with Trade Copier-managed positions open.

Receiver is still the default Role for normal Basic same-platform use. This preset is a specialized mixed-platform Sender aid, not the standard Trade Copier configuration.

Required steps after loading

  1. Load the clean preset.
  2. Confirm the mixed-platform file selector is empty.
  3. Use the Create Mixed-Platform Journal flow.
  4. Save axivor_shared_journal.jsonl in the documented shared Common Files location.
  5. Select the created file once.
  6. Set Create Mixed-Platform Journal back to No.
  7. Start the Sender and wait for READY.
  8. Start the Receiver and wait for READY.

Follow the full mixed-platform setup documentation and validate the relationship on demo accounts before considering live use.

If cTrader retains an old File value

If the old File value remains even after loading the clean preset, remove the cBot instance, reinstall or add it fresh, and begin again with an empty external File selector. Do not delete journals or Runtime files casually.

Safety note

Do not use presets to reset an active relationship. Ensure all affected Trade Copier-managed accounts are flat before creating a new relationship.
