Axivor Trade Copier Version 1.0 Documentation

Install, configure and validate Axivor Trade Copier across MT4, MT5 and cTrader Desktop, including same-platform and mixed-platform workflows.

cTraderMT4MT5

Quick Start

Begin on demo accounts. Install the correct marketplace edition on every participating account, then attach Axivor Trade Copier to the intended chart or cTrader instance.

  1. Leave each target at the default Receiver role.
  2. Set the source account to Sender.
  3. Use the same Copy Group on the Sender and every Receiver.
  4. Start the Sender first and wait for READY.
  5. Start each Receiver and wait for READY.
  6. Test one minimum-size market OPEN with initial SL/TP, a later SL/TP MODIFY, a full CLOSE and a RESTART.

READY confirms startup validation only. It does not guarantee that a future broker order will be accepted.

Same-platform setup

For MT4-to-MT4, MT5-to-MT5 or cTrader-to-cTrader, normal Basic setup needs no preset, file selection, filesystem work or separate relay service. Choose the roles, match the Copy Group, start the Sender first and confirm every participant reaches READY.

Mixed-platform setup

All nine directed combinations across MT4, MT5 and cTrader Desktop are supported. Mixed-platform relationships use one local Shared Journal on the same native Windows computer or VPS. The Sender creates the journal and each Receiver reads the same file.

Automatic mixed-platform journal discovery is not supported. Follow the platform-specific file-selection steps and never edit an active journal manually.

MetaTrader users can also consult the MQL5 mixed-platform setup guide.

Receiver volume control

  • Same as Sender uses source and target contract metadata to preserve the source requested economic volume, subject to target rules.
  • Fixed Volume uses the configured Receiver volume.
  • Multiplier scales the source volume by the configured Receiver multiplier.

Maximum Volume is a rejection ceiling, not a fourth sizing mode. If the resolved volume exceeds a configured non-zero ceiling, Trade Copier rejects the copy rather than silently reducing it. A value of zero applies no separate Trade Copier ceiling; broker limits still apply.

Symbol mapping

When broker symbol names differ, enter exact SOURCE=TARGET pairs. Example: EURUSD=EURUSD.a. Separate multiple pairs with semicolons. Version 1.0 does not provide universal automatic symbol mapping.

Status and recovery

  • READY — startup validation passed.
  • WAITING — Sender or journal setup is pending.
  • BLOCKED — configuration or journal state prevents processing; follow the displayed action.
  • WARNING — a condition requires review before continuing.
  • RECOVERY REQUIRED — stop and preserve Runtime and journal files before taking recovery action.

A normal restart preserves mapping, processing cursor and completed progress. Completed copy events are not replayed. Changing Sender is a controlled maintenance operation: flatten affected accounts, stop all participants and establish a fresh relationship.

Sender-side acknowledgement visibility on some mixed cTrader-to-MetaTrader routes is limited by platform file-access permissions. Receiver-side execution records remain authoritative. This does not prevent trade copying.

Troubleshooting

  • If a participant is WAITING, start the Sender first and verify the intended Shared Journal.
  • If BLOCKED, compare the Copy Group exactly and read the displayed action.
  • If a symbol is rejected, verify availability and configure explicit Symbol Mapping.
  • If volume is rejected, review the selected volume mode, Maximum Volume, broker step, margin and platform limits.
  • If RECOVERY REQUIRED appears, do not delete Runtime files or the journal. Preserve state and contact support.

When requesting help, provide the visible Trade Copier status, Copy Group, affected symbol, platform/version and approximate UTC time. Never provide passwords or account credentials.

Presets

Qualified presets are optional configuration aids for specific Trade Copier workflows. For the approved cTrader Sender aid and its required follow-up steps, see Axivor Trade Copier Presets.

FAQ

What does Trade Copier copy?

Version 1.0 copies supported market BUY and SELL opens, initial and later Stop Loss/Take Profit changes, and full/manual closes.

Can one Sender serve multiple Receivers?

Yes. Each Receiver can use independent volume settings and records its own execution outcome. Practical capacity depends on the computer, terminals, brokers and account count.

Does Trade Copier guarantee identical execution?

No. Symbol availability, broker rules, prices, timing, margin, spread, liquidity and slippage can produce different outcomes.

Where can I get the correct edition?

Use the platform-specific marketplace buttons on the Axivor Trade Copier product page.

Risk notice: Trading involves risk. Validate the complete relationship on demo accounts before considering live use.
