Axivor Risk Calculator for MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader

Axivor Risk Calculator is now available for MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader.

It is the first product released under the Axivor CONTROL line and was built around a simple idea: the risk decision should come before the order.

The Risk Calculator brings trade planning, position sizing and order confirmation into one chart-based workflow. You define the direction, place Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit, choose how much of the account you are prepared to risk, and review the calculated position size before anything is sent to the market.

It does not generate signals, choose trades or run an automated strategy. The trader remains in control of every decision.

A risk-first workflow

A typical trade starts with a setup.

The question that follows should not be “How many lots should I trade?” It should be:

How much am I prepared to lose if this trade is wrong?

Axivor Risk Calculator starts there.

You can define risk either as a percentage of the account or as a fixed amount in the account currency. The calculator then uses the distance between Entry and Stop Loss together with the active symbol and broker specifications to calculate an appropriate position size.

The result is normalized according to the platform and broker rules before it is presented for review.

The workflow is deliberately simple:

  1. Choose Buy or Sell.
  2. Select Market or Pending mode.
  3. Position Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit on the chart.
  4. Define percentage or fixed-cash risk.
  5. Review the calculated position size, monetary risk and R multiple.
  6. Confirm the order before execution.

Changing a chart level changes the calculation.

It does not place a trade.

Plan directly on the chart

Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit are visible and adjustable directly on the trading chart.

This makes it possible to work from the actual market structure rather than entering values into a separate calculator and then transferring them back into the trading platform.

As the levels move, the risk calculation updates with them.

The calculator also includes R planning and R Lock, allowing the selected reward-to-risk relationship to remain consistent while the setup is adjusted.

For pending trades, the order type is derived from the selected direction and the position of the Entry level, supporting the usual Buy Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Limit and Sell Stop workflows.

Review before execution

One of the main design principles behind Axivor Risk Calculator is that calculation and execution should remain separate.

The product does not submit an order simply because an Entry line is moved or a value changes.

When the setup is ready, the trader selects Send Order and receives a final confirmation showing the important details of the planned trade.

That creates a deliberate checkpoint before execution.

Direction, order type, Entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit, position size and planned monetary risk can all be reviewed before the order is approved.

Manage the open trade

The Risk Calculator also provides selected-trade management tools after execution.

Depending on the platform edition, these include:

  • partial close;
  • moving Stop Loss to break even;
  • pip-based trailing-stop controls.

The intention is not to automate the trading strategy, but to keep common risk and execution actions inside the same working environment.

Built for MT4, MT5 and cTrader

The MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader editions follow the same operating concept, but they are not treated as identical platforms.

Each edition uses the account, symbol and volume information supplied by its own platform and broker.

There are also some platform-specific differences in how minimum trade sizes and other execution details are handled. These differences are documented rather than hidden behind a generic cross-platform interface.

The result is one consistent Axivor workflow implemented for each platform.

CONTROL

Axivor products are organized around three areas:

CONTROL — risk and execution tools
CONNECT — platform connectivity
AUTOMATE — systematic trading automation

Risk Calculator is the first product released under CONTROL.

The goal is not to remove the trader from the decision.

It is to make the decision more deliberate.
